I think they Should always skip a compound in the tyre lineup... So c1, c3, c4, or c2, c4, c5 etc

I'm seeing everyone saying everything except saying it could be true.... Would it be the first time teams broke a regulation to gain an edge??? Would they put the driver at risk, maybe not intentionally, but the teams have said in times past that Pirelli is too conservative with the pressures, so that shows that they think they can run it lower than what is recommended. So it's not out of the question. Im so waiting on the final report. If this is proven to be true, what are going to be the consequences for Redbull and Aston Martin?

Rules say.... A practice start can be done on the right hand side of the pit exit after the pit exit light. -yes there is an area that is usually used but the wording of the rule is open to some interpretation. Everyone speaks of lewis' experience and all that and that he should know better. But i also suggest that as a 6 time world champ, it shows he's thinking outside the box, something the team is also guilty of, example DAS. The open interpretation will cause the fia to tighten the rule, same thing they did for DAS,and its because of the interpretation I believe the penalty was too harsh. This is formula 1, any rule open to interpretation will be exploited... And every team and the great drivers are guilty of it. Its just the spirit of F1.

Most circuits are more corners than straights. So the faster you can go through the corners, is the better... More downforce equal faster cornering speeds(disadvantage Ferrari) Higher top speeds only will work on circuits with more straights than corners like monza and Canada (advantage Ferrari). More downforce also pushes the car more into the ground making it easier for the tyres to get in the best operating Temps for optimal grip (advantage merc) (although this is a disadvantage on very hot racedays). Also higher top speeds with little downforce equal longer braking distances and longer time to get back on the throttle) (disadvantage Ferrari)
